For a long time, many homes have been home to spectacular flowering plants from the subtropics and tropics, such as orchids, fuchsias and jasmines. Bougainvillea was only recently introduced to flowering. And in vain they have not paid attention to it for so long – in Brazil, where it is native, and in other countries with a similar subtropical climate, it blooms all year round. The tops of its stems are decorated all the time with dense, showy bracts of rich color. In addition this plant is undemanding, it grows on roadsides, among stones, braids many-meter-high rocks and also climbs the walls of multi-storey buildings. Only a part of species and hybrid varieties of culture are successfully cultivated in room conditions.
